The Diner House is named loving for its 1950’s checkered kitchen floors. While the house has immense character and charm, just like it’s idyllic neighborhood and quiet street, it also has all the modern amenities you could need from your home away from home.
It is available for 2 week stays or longer, in hopes that it will be a wonderful place for families moving to town to get a feel for what it’s like to be part of the Georgetown community. Or maybe your local home is being remodeled and you want to stay close to your neighborhood, or maybe you have family coming to visit and want them nearby, but not on top of you in your own home. Maybe you are a traveling nurse and want to be close to 5 major hospitals within a seven mile radius?
The Space & Amenities
The Diner House is a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom cottage. There is a queen Floyd bed in the master bedroom and two twin beds in the secondary bedroom. All mattresses are memory foam with Egyptian cotton sheets. There is also a full sized air mattress, a bed that folds into a bed if needed, and a pack n’ play for those traveling with babies and toddlers, as well as a high chair. There are a washer and dryer in the garage and iron and ironing board. The kitchen is stocked with pots and pans for all your cooking needs. A complete Keurig coffee bar will keep you caffeinated, as well as a French press and tea station.
Beyond the essentials, there is wifi and a Roku tv system with premier cable, Netflix, Prime Video, HBO & Disney+ (all using one remote so it’s very simple to navigate!). The bathroom is stocked with supplies you may have left at home, and we are available to make your stay as calm and relaxing as possible.

The Arts and Culture Program hosts two semi-annual Art Strolls in the fall and the spring where participants can engage in interactive arts experiences at arts and culture facilities and arts based businesses across the Downtown Georgetown Cultural District that include artist demonstrations, performances, live music, and art shopping opportunities. The Spring Art Stroll will be April 20 and the Autumn Art Stroll will be October 19.

The Blazin’ Beer Crawl is a self-paced walking event featuring craft beer tastings inside our Downtown retail stores and restaurants. Ticket holders will receive a map of all of the participating locations and can choose which order to sample and visit merchants. Hot and spicy snacks will be available at various participating merchant locations. Restaurants will have event day specials. Food trucks will be set up for additional food options during the event.
