The evening’s live music headliner is Texas Commission on the Arts Touring Roster Artist, Sue Foley, so be sure to join us for her performance at 5pm!

The City of Georgetown’s Water Conservation Team is looking to bring awareness to sustainable watering resources with the vibrant addition of art to rain barrels. The first annual Painted Rain Barrel Project will coincide with the Georgetown Arts and Culture Program’s Autumn Art Stroll, South Main Arts Festival, and the Water Conservation Team’s “Imagine a Day Without Water” events in October 2022.

The barrels will be displayed around City facilities and local businesses downtown, before and during the South Main Arts Festival. All painted barrels will be available to purchase via a silent auction that will run through the course of the Autumn Art Stroll and South Main Arts Festival.

SCHEDULED PROGRAMMING (This is an outdoor event):

Start your Stroll at the Shotgun House Museum at 801 West St. to celebrate the winners of the Georgetown Sculpture Tour and for guided tours of the Shotgun House. Then continue your Stroll across the Downtown Georgetown Cultural District to visit the participating arts and culture venues and view Georgetown’s popular collection of public art murals and sculptures.

The Museum will also install a special yarn bomb inside the Museum to coincide with the yarn bombing public art project in the South Main Arts District.

Crockett Gardens Falls

You can find this natural waterfall known as Crockett Gardens and Waterfall by hiking 2.5 miles from the trailhead that begins in Cedar Breaks Park. In order to enter Cedar Breaks Park, you must obtain a day use pass reservation by calling 877-444-6777 or online at recreation.gov/camping/campgrounds/232544. Park your vehicle at Cedar Breaks Park parking area, and then hike to the falls. Be prepared for a rough terrain. The easiest way to access the falls is to contact Ducks on the Pond Kayak Rentals or San Gabriel Paddlesports and make kayak reservations. They will set you up with a kayak!

The Space & Amenities

All mattresses are memory foam with Egyptian cotton sheets. There is also a full sized air mattress, a bed that folds into a bed if needed, and a pack n’ play for those traveling with babies and toddlers, as well as a high chair. There are a washer and dryer in the garage and iron and ironing board. The kitchen is stocked with pots and pans for all your cooking needs. A complete Keurig coffee bar will keep you caffeinated, as well as a French press and tea station.

Beyond the essentials, there is wifi and a Roku tv system with premier cable, Netflix, Prime Video, HBO & Disney+ (all using one remote so it’s very simple to navigate!). The bathroom is stocked with supplies you may have left at home, and we are available to make your stay as calm and relaxing as possible.

The venue consists of of 3 different intimate dining spaces that together can accommodate 45 guests. Sweet Lemon offers all-inclusive packages which include the room rental, food and beverages for all your guests you, and a dedicated server.

The Annual Blazin’ Beer Crawl

georgetown beer crawl cheersThe Blazin’ Beer Crawl is a self-paced walking event featuring craft beer tastings inside of our Downtown retail stores and restaurants. Ticket holders will receive a map of all of the participating locations and can choose which order to sample and visit merchants. Hot and spicy snacks will be available at various participating merchant locations. Restaurants will have event day specials. Food trucks will be set up for additional food options during the event.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Georgetown Main Street Façade & Sign Grant Program which has awarded over $530,000 in grant funds to downtown business and property owners.
