Williamson Museum History Happy Hour May 15

Clusterfest is a one-day music and arts festival at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas on April 26, 2013. The festival is open to the Southwestern community as well as the general public. Past performers include: Sleigh Bells, Matt & Kim, Del the Funky Homosapie, Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears,  and The Octopus Project. For tickets and event information, visit their website.

Veterans Day Ceremony and Reception

Each year, the Sun City Texas Community Association is proud to host the annual Veterans Day Ceremony at the Georgetown-Williamson County Veterans Memorial Plaza. The ceremony is an opportunity for the Central Texas community to honor those men and women who have served and continue to serve in our U.S. military forces. The event is free and open to the public.

Several hundred chairs will be available for seating during the one-hour ceremony, or individuals may bring their own chairs and sit in the shade of the trees surrounding the plaza. A reception will follow on the Social Center patio.

The Georgetown-Williamson County Veterans Memorial Plaza is located in Sun City at 2 Texas Drive in Georgetown. The plaza is behind the Social Center.

Georgetown Municipal Airport staff coordinates Airport Terminal and FBO tours for youth (may be limited due to security issues). Visitors are reminded that all vehicular traffic and pedestrian traffic must be confined to the Airport streets. The Georgetown Municipal Airport provides services to general aviation aircraft instead of them using A.B.I.A.  No regularly scheduled passenger or freight service is available.

St. Valentine's Day Concert

The Sarofim School of Fine Arts at Southwestern University presents a guitar recital by faculty artist David Asbury on Saturday, February 14 , at 7 p.m. in the Alma Thomas Theater at Southwestern University.  The program, entitled, “La guitarra  enamorada” and focusing on works that are thematically related to love and romance, will feature works by Luis Bonfa, Roland Dyens, Jose Luis Merlin, Julio Cesar Oliva, Roberto Baden Powell and Francisco Tarrega.  The recital will last until about 8:15 p.m, allowing concertgoers the chance to make late dinner plans.
