• There are no official eclipse activities planned at Garey Park; however, we welcome visitors to come experience the eclipse with us.
• Garey Park entry fees will be collected at the park entrance. Fees are $2/Georgetown Resident and $4/Nonresident. Children 3 years and younger are free. Please bring cash to expedite the entry process.
• The park will close to incoming traffic if/when the park reaches capacity, and can no longer accommodate any additional vehicles.
• Garey Park hours are 8 a.m.-8 p.m. beginning April 1. Please do not attempt to access the park outside of the posted hours of operation. Parking will only be allowed in designated parking areas.
• The Garey House grounds will be closed all day for a private event.
• It is possible that traffic will get backed up along the entry and exit roads. Please remain calm and exercise patience when entering and exiting the park. Park staff will process entry as quickly as possible.
• Consider delaying your exit to avoid anticipated heavy traffic on roadways after the eclipse. Garey Park offers a variety of amenities, including playground, hiking trails, and a dog park to enjoy before you head home.

Amenities at the park include a playground, a splash pad, a dog park, an equestrian arena, the Garey House event space (rented separately), pavilions, two fishing ponds, 4.7 miles of hiking trails, and 4.2 miles of equestrian trails. Bark Park

Bark Park is located in a beautiful pecan grove providing significant shade for dogs and their owners alike. There is parking available as well as water fountains and trash containers for owners and their dogs. Additional features will be added to the park such as picnic tables, benches, and a trail around the park in the future. Be sure to locate, read, and understand the Rules for Use posted at the park for an enjoyable visit to Bark Park for yourself, your dog, and your neighbors.
