Looking to grab-and-stroll with a hot cocoa or prefer to savor some farm-to-fork fare? Georgetown has a plethora of dining options to choose from. You can settle into pet-friendly patios with Fido, dig into pie (of the pizza or pumpkin variety) and even celebrate the merry hours with a pint or a flute all season long. Plus, with safety measures in place, you can feel comfortable breaking bread with your nearest and dearest.
Though Santa may not be making as many appearances this year and Zoom-ing into a holiday party lacks some sparkle, there are still some opportunities to celebrate and socially distance in Georgetown.
The curtain will be calling for A Tuna Christmas at the Palace Courtyard, the Palace Theater’s outdoor stage from November 27 – December 20. Tickets are on sale now for this enchanting Christmastime extravaganza.
In addition to theater al fresco, you can really kick off the shopping season at Georgetown’s annual Jingle and Mingle event on November 19. The indoor/outdoor, mask-wearing outing is bringing late-night shopping, sweet treats and big prizes to the Square.
Oh, and don’t forget the Square will twinkle to life the week of November 23. Visit Georgetown throughout the season, there will be more than enough glittery good nights for strolling.
The same four walls have lost their luster, haven’t they? Gift your family a staycation or even a drivable vacation in Georgetown where the walls and the view are wonderfully different. Cozy up to the fire and toast up some s’mores at the beautifully appointed Sheraton Austin Georgetown Texas Hotel & Conference Center or re-create a Victorian holiday with a historic stay at an Airbnb just off the Square.
Holiday traditions are a little less traditional this year, but the Most Beautiful Town Square in Texas has just what you need to dance with the sugar plums and enjoy some well-needed whimsy.
