Fountainwood Observatory

Come see what the sky has for you to behold on a clear Georgetown evening!  See a beautiful crescent moon or brilliant planets.  As the evening proceeds, view the season’s visible constellations. On hand to guide viewing will be S.U. Physics Department faculty and talented observers from the Williamson County Astronomy Club . Fountainwood Viewing Nights are always FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. The Observatory is located on the northeast side of the Southwestern University campus adjacent to the Rockwell Baseball Field.
