2nd Saturday Market Days

Join us as the downtown Square comes alive with over 90 booths featuring handmade arts & crafts, jewelry, unique clothing, woodcrafts, ironworks, festive foods, antiques & collectables, stained glass, entertainment and so much more! Combined with the shops and restaurants around the Square, you’ll enjoy a delightful day for the whole family! Market Days are held the second Saturday of each month, March through December, in the heart of Downtown Georgetown. Market hours are 10 am until 5 pm, except for June, July, and August which are 9 am until 3pm. For vendor applications and additional information please visit our website!

4th of July Festival

Enjoy one of the largest family events in central Texas that attracts over 50,000 visitors. With over 80 booths, a petting zoo, parade, live entertainment, train rides, fireworks and more (all located on the beautiful San Gabriel River) there’s only one place you should be this 4th of July. Christmas Stroll

’It’s a Wonderful Life’ in downtown Georgetown the first Saturday in December. The whole family is invited to watch a hometown holiday parade, enjoy live entertainment, sample tempting treats in the festive food court and browse more than 75 arts and crafts booths. Children will love the various activities and rides available in the Winter Wonderland. Have a chat with Santa himself! Enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides throughout the evening. Georgetown Farmers Market

Come to the Georgetown Farmers Market! Our association is dedicated to bringing fresh, locally grown produce to the people of Central Texas. Our market is growing - meaning all the members sell only what they grow. This gives you the opportunity to talk face to face with the farmer and find out how your food is grown. Georgetown Festival of the Arts

Georgetown Symphony Society is proud to sponsor its annual Festival of the Arts at venues around Georgetown for four days, always including the first weekend in June. The Festival offers concerts and talks by nationally recognized musicians and scholars, featuring a different classical composer each year. “Art in the Park” offers fine arts and crafts for display and sale in San Gabriel Park on Festival weekend, plus workshops, performances, and lots of good food. On Saturday night of Festival weekend bring or purchase a picnic and enjoy the free concert in the park, followed by a big fireworks display.

Heritage Society Holiday Home Tour

It’s the holiday season, let’s deck the halls and celebrate the history of Georgetown. Join the Heritage Society for its annual Holiday Home Tour. Tour-goers enjoy charming, restored, historic homes decorated in holiday finery that celebrate the past and present of old Georgetown neighborhoods. Docents give tours as well as offer information about the history of each residence with interesting facts and tidbits. The Holiday Home Tour occurs the second weekend in December from noon until 5pm. Tickets are $10.

Lighting of the Square

Red Poppy Festival

The Red Poppy Festival marks the coming of spring and the arrival of Georgetown’s colorful springtime visitor, the Red Poppy Flower. These beautiful flowers have been a part of Georgetown’s heritage and landscape for over seventy years, a fact certified by the Texas legislature in naming Georgetown as the Red Poppy Capital of Texas. Texas Hill Country Wine & Food Festival

Don’t miss this exciting taste of Texas! The 23nd annual Texas Hill Country Wine & Food Festival holds its culminating event, Sunday Fair, here in Georgetown at San Gabriel Park on April 13, 2008. Sample a wide array of Lone Star foods from producers, local growers, and Texas restaurants, as well as wines from Texas and visiting wineries from around the world. Enjoy a wine and food seminar or a celebrity chef cooking demonstration. Kick back, relax, and experience a lovely spring afternoon of fine wine and food, children’s activities, live music, lively conversation, and culinary seminars. Tickets are $45 per person.

Up the Chisholm Trail

Celebrate Georgetown’s location on the historic Chisholm Trail as well as Williamson County’s rich cattle driving and raising heritage.
