10th Annual Georgetown Home and Garden Show

Saturday, March 14, from 9am until 4pm at the Showbarn in San Gabriel Park.  Featured this year: Seminars by the Williamson County Master Gardener Association: Native and Drought Tolerant Plants, Plant Propogation, Growing Herbs in Williamson County, Butterfly Gardening.  Free Admission!  Door prizes and show specials!  Key Attractions: furniture, pest control, landscaping, lawn equipment, painting, cabinets, financing, fencing, appliances, interior decoratin, flooring, remodeling, decking.  Sponsored by: First Texas Bank at The Showbarn in San Gabriel Park, 425 E. 2009 City-Wide MLK Unity Celebration

“Taking Action in a Time of Challenge and Controversy” Monday, January 19 – March and rally will be starting at noon at the Georgetown Square and ending at Macedonia Baptist Church (206 MLK).  After the march, join the celebration at Macedonia Baptist Church starting at 12:30 p.m.  Guest Speakers and Panelists: Eric McKinney (Chaplain, Southwestern University), Andrew Turner (Historian, Educator), Jim Porter (Pastor, First United Methodist Church), Joel Russeau (Electrical Engineer).  Sponsored by Georgetown Fellowship of Churches, Rev. Edward Kernan, FOC President.

2009 Georgetown Quilt & Stitchery Show March 13, 14

“How the West was Warm” sponsored by Handcrafts Unlimited: Featuring a block challenge, silent auction, vendors demonstrations, raffle quilt, scissor sharpening, vittles (food court).  The Show will be Friday, March 13 from 10am – 8pm and Saturday, March 14 from 10am – 5pm, at the Community Center in the San Gabriel Park, 445 E. Easter on the Square! Saturday April 11, 9am-4pm

 April 11 is a very special Second Saturday Market Day! Join us for these special events:

10:oo am – 2:00 pm “Artists’ Sketch Crawl”
              11:30 am        Free Easter Egg Hunt
 9:00 am -  1:30 pm Pictures with the Easter Bunny (photos $10 & up)
 1:00pm -  4:00 pm Clowns
 9:00 pm – 4:00 pm Cupcake Decorating        

 Join us as the downtown Square comes alive with booths featuring handmade arts & crafts, unique gifts, entertainment, food, and much more. Combined with the shops and restaurants around the Square, you’ll enjoy a delightful day for the whole family.

Market Days are held the second Saturday of each month, March through December, in the heart of Downtown Georgetown. The new 2009 Market Day hours are 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Eggstravaganza

The Eggstravaganza is held the Saturday prior to Easter week. The date for 2009 is April 4th. Arrive at 8:45 a.m. to line up. Start time is 9:00 a.m.

Bring your basket for our Easter Egg Hunt at the McMaster Complex.

Candy is hidden in specific softball fields (divided by age groups) as well as a grand prize egg for each age division.
